IED Shrapnel Wound
The image below shows a simulated shrapnel wound to the thigh caused by an improvised explosive device. The damage extends through the skin, subcutaneous fat, fascia, and muscle layers to impact the bone and femoral artery. This model is part of a thigh module taken from our first generation SynDaver™ synthetic cadaver.
